Welcome to “Personal Development and Time Management: A Biblical Approach.” This curriculum is more than a guide to productivity; it is an invitation to deeper discipleship. In the modern world, we are often overwhelmed by the “tyranny of the urgent,” drifting through days filled with activity but lacking in eternal direction. For the student of LifeHouse Bible Institute, however, time is not a commodity to be spent on self, but a sacred trust to be managed for the Master.

The foundation of this course is built upon a singular, transformative truth: You are a steward, not an owner. From the moment of creation, God endowed humanity with the Imago Dei—His very image—and commanded us to subdue the earth and manage its resources. This mandate has never been rescinded. Whether you are preparing for full-time pulpit ministry, community leadership, or service in the marketplace, your effectiveness is inextricably linked to how you manage the “talents” God has placed in your hands.

Throughout these twelve chapters, we will journey from the internal to the external. We begin by anchoring your identity in Christ and defining your God-given vision. We then move into the practical disciplines of prioritization, overcoming distractions, and financial stewardship. Finally, we explore the vital rhythms of rest and the spiritual disciplines that ensure your ministry is fueled by the Holy Spirit rather than human effort.

This course is designed to be both academically rigorous and spiritually reflective. As you engage with the Learning Objectives and assessments, I challenge you not to merely seek information, but to seek transformation. A well-managed life is one of the most powerful testimonies a believer can offer to a watching world. It speaks of a heart that values what God values and a mind that is disciplined for the sake of the Kingdom.

Our prayer is that as you complete this study, you will find yourself moving from a place of stress to a place of peace, and from a life of “busyness” to a life of fruitfulness. May you run your race with perseverance, fixing your eyes on Jesus, so that at the end of your journey, you may hear those most coveted words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
