Principles of Christian Leadership

The landscape of modern ministry is often crowded with competing voices, each offering a different formula for success, influence, and growth. Yet, in the midst of this clamor, the timeless call of the Gospel remains unchanged: a call to follow the One who “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
The LifeHouse Bible Institute was established with a singular, radical conviction: that true leadership is not found in the pursuit of a crown, but in the embrace of a cross. This textbook, Principles of Christian Leadership, is the heartbeat of our curriculum. It is born out of a necessity to return to the biblical standard of the “servant-leader”—a model that has, at times, been overshadowed by carnal ambition, the allure of celebrity culture, and the misuse of spiritual authority.
Throughout these pages, we do not merely study leadership as a set of management skills. Rather, we examine it as a work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a yielded man or woman. We look honestly at the giants of our faith—from Moses and David to the Apostles—not just to celebrate their victories, but to learn from the sobering moments where pride and self-reliance led to failure.
At the center of this work stands the person of Jesus Christ. He is our archetype. His leadership was defined by a towel and a basin, by a steadfast commitment to the Truth, and ultimately by a sacrificial death that birthed an eternal Kingdom. As a student of this Institute, your goal is not to learn how to be “first” in the eyes of the world, but how to be “least” so that Christ may be everything.
This book will challenge you. It will ask you to examine your motives, to crucify your personal ambitions, and to submit your gifts to the rigorous standard of biblical character. But it also offers a promise: that those who lead with humility, who prioritize integrity over charisma, and who steward God’s people with genuine compassion will leave a legacy that outlasts their own name and echoes into eternity.
May the Holy Spirit guide your heart as you study, and may you emerge from this course not just as a person with a position, but as a servant with a heart after God’s own.
In His Service,
